Through educational how-to videos and blog posts, site founder Jacob Sharff shares his experience of living life in a wheelchair. The How I Roll website is an informative resource for green (new) paraplegics as well as physical therapists. Started to alleviate some of the frustration he went through, Jacob aims to help anyone newly paralyzed and permanently confined to a manual wheelchair through the website.

Years ago, before Facebook, before the term social media….if you were online, you were probably using AOL’s Instant Messenger service, AIM. AIM was the starting point for chat for many people, and we have seen instant messaging grow in recent years to include social IMs on Facebook, Gtalk in Google’s Gmail, video chat on Skype, even to sites like Chat Roulette.

 

MSNIn addition to our social media accounts, many people have multiple instant messaging accounts as well. The three big webmail providers (Gmail, Yahoo!, and/Hotmail/Live) all have chat integrated into their services. So with all of this together, you may have an IM account through your Gmail, Yahoo! Mail, Facebook, Skype and more.

 

Surely it doesn’t make sense to have all of these services/ programs open at once, so using an all in one

Users of Facebook, the world’s largest social network, have uploaded over 15 billion photos to the site, helping the site surpass Flickr as the biggest photo sharing site on the web.  Many people, companies and events post their photo albums to Facebook first for the sheer fact that they know the photos will be quickly shown to the people in their network. Plus sharing photos with friends, posting albums to group or business pages, and tagging people within your photos is all pretty easy to do on Facebook. 

But sharing your photos outside of the site, well that’s another story entirely. Surprisingly, Facebook does not have any type of photo widget available to let users easily display their photo albums on their website. Downloading the photos one by one is possible, but takes too long especially when some albums contain hundreds of photos.

After covering the South Florida entertainment scene for the past five years, the South Florida Insider website needed a whole new look. New features such as an updated logo, embedded youtube playlist, Google calendars and CCK powered K2 were integrated into the new site, as well as previous content from past years.
