Here's a sneak peek of a motion graphics project we're currently working on for Wizard Sleeve Toys. Animation is being done in Maya, and the title treatments are being conjured up in After Effects. Check out some test render videos below:

Here are a few shots of the designer toy collection that's on display at the shared offices of Rosstamicah Design and C3 Motion Graphics. These photos show new pieces such as Frank Kozik's Toyer Enemy and the Wizard Sleeve Toys Ganmetall Celsius colorway.
We're looking forward to adding the Sam Flores x Upper Playground Wyger to our collection in a couple of weeks, as well as some rare pieces by Junko Miznuo. The two Buff Monster pieces in this collection are for sale, please contact if interested.
With so much business and networking being done solely online today, many have taken the opportunity to post their resumes on websites that offer this service. Rather than e-mail a Word .doc to a potential employer, sending a link to your online hosted resume page is an acceptable alternative.
There are quite a few ways to use the web to create or host your resume/CV, the most well known of course being LinkedIn. While LinkedIn offers an online hosted resume in combination with a social networking experience, the display of LinkedIn profile pages isn't the best looking out there, and you need to be a member to login and see someone's "full profile," which may contain important information. LinkedIn also offers a .pdf export of your resume/cv, but this is mainly plain text and not so pleasing to the eye.
It's been almost a year since I posted "5 Girlie Bands You Should Know About" and it's time to share the love of ladies making new music once again. Here's 5 More Girlie Bands You Should Know About (this time with video):
1. Amanda Palmer (of The Dresden Dolls)

Frontwoman for Boston based duo The Dresden Dolls, AFP (Amanda F-ing Palmer...yes that's what she goes by) released a solo album this year that not only blows away many recent albums in terms of songwriting and production value, it might actually be better than anything the Dresden Dolls have done. Production value on this album is incredible thanks to Ben Folds (The story of how they got together is quite interesting- you can find it on her blog). She worked with Neil Gaiman on a coffee table book about the album, and has become a darling of the celebrity Twitter world. I saw her a few months back at the Culture Room in Ft Lauderdale, and one of the first things she said was how Trent Reznor just tweeted her "whats up" or something like that. Kinda dorky, kind of cool. She is truly one of the most talented female artists out there today: she's punk rock with a piano and covers Radiohead's Creep on a ukulele. You can't say that about any other artists.

This presentation was created for the Yogafox teacher training program, where every student is assigned a deity to study and do a project or presentation on. I was given the god Rama, and I teamed up with my fellow teacher in training Margit Hamilton who was given the goddess Sita, who is Rama's wife in the great epic story The Ramayana. Together we created this presentation, using our own version of the Rama & Sita story after reading about the many variations of the story's specifics. This was orignally a Powerpoint presentation and converted to an online presentation using SlideRocket's web app software. Thanks to Margit, Keith & Kelly, Google Images, and Nina Paley for her amazing movie Sita Sings the Blues. Enjoy, Namaste, and all that jazz. :)
I've been asking a lot of people recently how they feel about ads on social networking sites such as Facebook, specifically if they've ever clicked on one. Still can't find one person that's said yes.
Someone mentioned that we are so used to seeing ads in our daily lives, that we have grown accustomed to them and almost completely ignore them when online. Even when the user is forced to interact with the ad, it makes us dislike them even more. I completely agree with that and still wonder how sites such as Facebook and Twitter are going to monetize off of a free service that just works.
That said, I happened to actually notice an ad on Facebook tonight. Not because it peaked my interest or a catchy graphic caught my attention, there was a simple z-index issue that allowed a flash ad to show above the Online Friends pop-out window. That rarely happens on large social networking websites, yet:
By "girlie" I mean "groups with a female vocalist." I know that some of my "metal" friends will probably knock this post, so I will follow this up with an entry titled "Bands That You Probably Think Are Death Metal But Really Aren't." That should be entertaining.
1. Be Your Own Pet (http://www.beyourownpet.net/)

This band announced their last show about a week after I found out about them. High energy punk rock from Nashville, they sing songs about Zombies and cutting people. The girl has a good voice and is kind of cute. The music goes beyond basic power chords. Let's hope some of them re-form in another group, poppy punk is rarely this good.
